Laying down your life

14 If we love our Christian brothers and sisters, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead. 15 Anyone who hates another brother or sister is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don't have eternal life within them. 16 We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. See that you are not frightened, for [those things] must take place, but [that] is not yet the end. 7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. 8 "But all these things are [merely] the beginning of birth pangs. 9 "Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. 10 "At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. 11 "Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. 12 "Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold. 13 "But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. 14 "This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. Discerning the Times

The Pharisees and Sadducees came up, and testing JESUS​

They asked HIM to show them a sign from heaven​

But HE replied to them​

"When it is evening, you say​

'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.‘​

"And in the morning,​

'There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.‘​

Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky​

But cannot discern the signs of the times?​

"An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign​

And a sign will not be given it, except the sign of Jonah.“​

And HE left them and went away. ​

Matthew 16:1-4​

What every Christian life should look like

I have given them YOUR WORD

And the world has hated them

Because they are not of the world

Even as I am not of the world

I do not ask YOU to take them out of the world

But to keep them from the evil one

They are not of the world

Even as I am not of the world

Sanctify them in the TRUTH

YOUR WORD is TRUTH

As YOU sent ME into the world

I also have sent them into the world
